The Bureau of Fire Protection-Special Rescue Force (BFP-SRF) of the Philippines, TRIS (Safety) Pte Ltd and Best TRARAsia signed a memorandum of agreement at Best TRARAsia headquarters in Jalan Pangsa, Seria on Wednesday.
The agreement represents a commitment to mutual support, knowledge exchange, and joint efforts in addressing emergencies and enhancing rescue operations using Rope Tactics. It also marks a significant milestone in fostering strong regional ties and cooperation in technical rope and rescue.
Minister and Consul General Pete Raymond V Delfin from the Embassy of the Philippines in Brunei Darussalam witnessed the signing.
The agreement were signed by Lieutenant Coronel Glenn Salazar from the BFP-SRF (Philippines), Agnes Deelen-Yong from Best TRARAsia Sdn Bhd (Brunei) and Steven Chiang from TRIS (Safety) Pte Ltd (Singapore).
Representing the Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) were Senior Fire Chief Amirul Hadi bin Haji Junaidi, officer Haji Mohamad Nor bin Haji Ahad and enforcement officer Hanapi bin Haji Hamid.
Best TRARAsia Sdn Bhd’s involvement in the development of TRARAsia is centred around providing state-of-the-art training facilities to support the growth of rope tactics rescue expertise in the region. – Daniel Lim
