The annual Japanese Language and Culture Festival 2020 will be held at the Atrium of Times Square Shopping Centre from today until tomorrow.
The festival is organised by the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam and the Japan Foundation, and co-organised by Times Square Shopping Centre.
The festival aims to promote and strengthen friendly relations between Brunei and Japan, introduce Japanese culture, provide business opportunities and gain deeper understanding between Brunei and Japan.
The festival features Japanese cooking demonstrations and Study in Japan sharing session. A Japanese traditional tea ceremony will be held on Sunday afternoon at 4-4.30pm.
The ceremony is free for the public but will be on a first-come-first-served basis as seats are limited. Anime drawing competition is also open for the public. On Sunday, there will also be quizzes and prizes to be won. Japanese products and services will also be made available by exhibitors during the two-day festival.
