Treat awaits Japanese film lovers

THE Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam will present the 2nd Japanese Film Festival (JFF) in Brunei showcasing seven films at the Arena Cineplex, Seri Qlap Mall from February 25-28.

Japanese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Motohiko Kato, and the Co-founder of Beluneu Films Amali bin Haji Roslin shared about the event during a press conference at the Japanese Embassy in Kampong Kiarong.

Among the films to be screened are Chihayafuru Part 3, Laughing Under The Clouds, Perfect World, Lu Over The Wall, Mixed Doubles, Color Me True, and Yakiniku Dragon.

According to the ambassador, the films that will be screened are contemporary Japanese films with a combination of various categories including anime, love story, dramas that include a sports theme, a fantasy theme, and a traditional theme.

“We hope that Bruneians will enjoy these films and I hope that not only young people but also the general Bruneian public will be able to understand the Japanese way of life or way of thinking through these films and deepen their understanding,” said the ambassador.
