Established in 1967 as a leading name in the local travel industry with a good record and a long lasting business relationship with all the airlines, Syarikat Straits Central Agencies (B) Sdn Bhd (SCA) was acquired by Adinin Group of Companies and has since been providing world class travel services for the Bruneian market.
With its philosophy to render the highest quality services to all clientele through product and competitive pricing along with embracing the industry standards for reliability and integrity, SCA’s sound knowledge and professional management have enabled the travel agent to achieve a reputation for top quality services rendered to its clientele.
Having 55 years of operations with outbound and inbound travel business worldwide, SCA has become one of the leading tour operators in the country including umrah packages.
The umrah packages are among the most popular pick this month with more than 600 umrah pilgrims under the package, which includes one special chartered flight direct to Jeddah earlier this month carrying 251 passengers.
This was shared by SCA General Manager Nur Khadijah binti Abdullah, who added that the chartered flight was SCA’s first this year and had more than 650 umrah pilgrims.
Each departure allows up to 100 people going for umrah, while some combined their umrah packages with trips to Dubai and Turkiye.
“This month, we also had two groups joining our tour packages, such as the Beijing Muslim group and Taiwan group. We had good feedback from travellers in both groups,” said Nur Khadijah.
Earlier this year, SCA also had a package tour to Spain and Morocco where some of the group members also joined the recent Beijing Muslim tour package and was happy with the company’s arrangements.
Next year, SCA will be doing more tours to destinations such as Taiwan, Turkiye, South Korea and Beijing or Shanghai in China.
“For us at SCA, we actually select the destinations as we support the national carrier, Royal Brunei Airlines, because they have direct flights to Beijing, Tokyo and Taipei,” said Nur Khadijah.
“We just want to create awareness, as even the Taiwan Tourism Board, is going to open an office in Brunei soon. This means the board wants to develop the Salam Taiwan package, which is ideal for the Muslim family and friends packages, instead of individual travellers,” she added. – Lyna Mohamad
