Azlan Othman

Twenty-one students completed a basic first aid course conducted by Ashcore Sdn Bhd at Laksamana College of Business (LCB).

LCB sponsored the course participants, which included the Student Council president and vice president; members from the Sports, Media and Logistic Department; CCA presidents and vice presidents of futsal, dodgeball, performing arts and basketball club.

The course shed light on first aid priorities, recognising an emergency and performing necessary action; recognising signs and symptoms of emergency, illnesses and injuries; correct first aid treatment; and demonstration of the Heimlich maneuver.

The programme provided Basic First Aid Training (Level 1), covering topics on the principles of first aid, soft tissue injuries, heat related injuries, breathing difficulties, musculoskeletal injuries and poison bites and stings. It concluded with a written and practical assessment.

LCB Director of Academic Studies/Operations Bogusia Mischke awarded certificates to the students.
