Training leaves 23 on better footing

SEAMEO Voctech Regional Centre held a two-day customised training programme on ‘Islamic Values on Customer Service Training for Tourism Industries in Brunei Darussalam.’

The programme was held at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) on January 25-26.

Twenty-three officers and staff from government agencies such as Museums Department, Immigration and National Registration Department, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Mosque Affairs Department, as well as tourist guides, attended the programme.

The training was held in collaboration with the Tourism Development Department of MPRT, and Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU-SB).

The programme allowed participants to strengthen their service-delivery-oriented skills and knowledge.

Present during the opening ceremony were Acting Director of Tourism Development Haji Abu Asiruddin bin Haji Zaini; Training and Professional Development Manager cum TVET Specialist cum training programme facilitator Noorhayati Cynthia; and senior MPRT officers.
