THE Toyota Camry is back with a new look and world class features.

The eighth generation Camry will be launched tomorrow at 9am at all NBT branches nationwide.

Local media were given a glimpse of the new Camry yesterday afternoon in a test drive session.

The new Toyota Camry utilises Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) which represents a new strategy in the way the company designs, engineers and packages its vehicles. TNGA retains all of Toyota’s traditional values of superlative build quality and safety while injecting a fun driving experience that plays on all the senses.

The attractive bold face of the new Camry is characterised by a two grille design with a narrow yet sweeping upper portion of the front grille combined with the wide and substantial lower grille. The effect of the upper grille which incorporates slim headlights and the Toyota logo was designed to emphasise a wide and low centre of gravity.

The cockpit offers new a relaxed and extended design with improved practicality, roominess and enhanced ergonomic functionality.

Equipped with 2.5L four cylinder in line, 16 valve DOHC with Dual VVT-i engine, the new Camry packed a punch when accelerating.

The highlights of the Camry are its world class safety features where a host of active and passive state of the art safety systems as well as technologies help reduce risk of accident or injury to the vehicle’s occupants.

Key safety features include an impact-absorbing body structure, Toyota Safety Sense and blind spot monitor with rear crass traffic alert technology.

The Toyota Safety Sense consists of a package of safety features namely pre-collision system, Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic radar Control and Automatic High Beam.

The public can have a closer look at the brand new Toyota Camry tomorrow at the NBT showrooms.
