Towards achieving lasting stability in the oil market

Brunei Darussalam reaffirms its commitment to further strengthen the Declaration of Cooperation (DoC) between OPEC and non-OPEC oil producing countries in keeping the oil market stabilised.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday, Brunei Darussalam has been participating in the DoC between OPEC and non-OPEC oil producing countries, since its inception in December 2016, in recognising the need for joint cooperation of the oil exporting countries to achieve a lasting stability in the oil market in the interest of oil producers and consumers.

The statement further added, “We have seen the positive impact of the DoC in ensuring oil market stability.

“In this regard, we will support the DoC’s efforts in stabilising further the oil market, particularly, in the face of the current period of uncertaintyand volatility.”
