The As-Syahadah New Convert Youth in collaboration with the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) organised a mosque tour to Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque yesterday.
The event, supported by the Mosque Affairs Department and Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, was held in conjunction with the 40th National Day celebration.
Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim officiated the event that began with a tour of the main prayer hall, ablution section, the mosque’s compound and the Bahtera.
The tour for non-Muslim tourists is one of the propagation methodologies as well as a tourism product in the Sultanate at mosques with potential as tourist attractions. It also showcases Muslim culture, history and architecture while providing answers to questions posed by the tourists. – Lyna Mohamad
