A group of tourists from Holland visited the Teng Yun Temple in the capital recently.
The temple is one of the many tourism hotspots in the Sultanate known for its long established history and rich Chinese culture.
One of the tourists, Marieke, visited the temple with her two-year-old daughter, mother and sister.
In an interview, Marieke said, “We’re visiting Brunei for a few days, and this is only our second day. We’re touring Borneo, and Brunei seemed like an interesting place to explore. It’s still quite mysterious to us, so we decided to visit.”
She added, “The Teng Yun Temple is beautiful, with over 100 years of history. We’re excited to visit Ulu Temburong National Park and other interesting spots too.”
Coincidently, Teng Yun Temple chairman Lee Eng Ching with deputy chairman Tiah Eng Beng as well as executive committee members were also at the temple and welcomed Marieke and her family. – James Kon
