Top prizes for art contest winners

Siti Nurul Ain Bazilah binti Rahim from Pai Yuek School and Carrie Adrienne binti Haji Danny from Seri Mulia Sarjana School clinched the top prizes in the 4th Brunei Primary School Students Painting Competition – themed 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.

The winners received their prizes during the awarding and exhibition launch ceremony at OneCity Shopping Centre yesterday.

Meanwhile, Nur Atika Adillah binti Haji Abdul Zamri of Orang Kaya Besar Imas Primary School in Subok, Felix Lim Jia Le of Seri Mulia Sarjana School and Jarsen Yeo of Seri Mulia Sarjana International School bagged the first prizes.

Five students received second place prizes, eight received third place prizes and 12 took home consolation prizes.

Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education Dr Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin was the guest of honour.

The competition received 166 works from 28 schools, with 30 students from 18 schools winning prizes.
