The Ma’had Islam Brunei and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School (SUAMPRIPAHS) emerged as champions in the male and female categories at the finals of the 16th Tausyeh Competition for Secondary Schools and Colleges Nationwide 2024, held at the multipurpose hall of SUAMPRIPAHS.
Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) won second place in the male category, while Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College was placed third and Tanjong Maya Secondary School fourth.
Menglait Secondary School and SUAMPRIPAHS participants won second and third places in the female category, while ITQSHHB came in fourth place.
The competition, organised by the Spiritual Activities Division of the Department of Co-Curriculum Education at the Ministry of Education, aimed to improve students’ recitation of selawat to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through tausyeh.
It also focused on enhancing their tausyeh skills, building confidence for public performance and encouraging teamwork.
