Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Secondary School students who scored excellent results in their O-Level examinations in 2023 were feted by the school yesterday.
Some 59 students, accompanied by their parents and guardians, received prizes from Assistant Managing Director (Corporate Services) of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Abdullah @ Dollah bin Haji Ahad during a ceremony.
School principal Chong Li Chen said students showed satisfactory results, with 59 out of 83 students, or 71.08 per cent, receiving at least five credits while 33 received at least eight O-Levels.
Meanwhile Abdullah @ Dollah expressed pride in seeing the progress of the students, especially in the field of education, with encouraging results in recent years.
He also touched on the role of teachers and their ability to be creative, dynamic and adaptable in the teaching, especially at the secondary level. He also encouraged the use of infocommunication technology as part of teaching and learning tools. – James Kon
