TANAH MERAH (Bernama) – The step-father of Form four student Abdul Rahman Abdullah, who died in a motorcycle accident on the Bukit Panau – Bukit Mas stretch near Kampung Mentango Monday night, only knew his son was out to fill petrol for his motorcycle for school yesterday morning.
Afendi Kamariah, 54, said his son went to a nearby petrol station to refuel.
“He was studying in Form Four at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Alor Pasir, “Abdul Rahman was a good son who listened to his parents. I am shocked and sad that he left us this way,” he said when met by reporters at the Tanah Merah Hospital mortuary.
Abdul Rahman and his two other friends, Muhammad Danial Adam Che Hasim, 17, and Muhammad Nasrun Al Hakim Norli 14, died at the scene after their motorcycles collided with one another at 10.10pm.
Mohd Faizal Che Hashim, 31, brother of Muhammad Danial Adam, 17, a student at Sekolah Menengah Agama Ar Rahman, Palog, said the incident shocked his family.
“I only knew about the incident after being informed by a close family member.
“After hearing the sad news, I went to the crash site and saw his body lying on the road before being taken to the hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.
He said the seventh child from nine siblings was very close to the family and a cheerful person.
