Three Silat practitioners bag national awards

PENCAK Silat Championship for Secondary Schools and Colleges Nationwide 2019 was held on April 10 – 11 at Indoor Stadium, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Three students from Year 9 class represented St Angela’s Convent School. They all gave excellent performances and made the school proud. Fernando Kevin Injih anak Minggong obtained a gold medal, Geoffrey anak Ayub grabbed a silver medal and the only girl-participant, Nur Fadhilah Fikriyah binti Latif, managed to secure third place in the girl’s category earning a bronze medal.

During the assembly on April 14, the three students received their prizes from the principal.

During the competition, participants wowed the audience with their martial arts skills and talents.

The martial arts competition was organised to test the strength of all participants who trained for several years with their coaches. The event was opened to all students from the four districts. – Rachel Octavia binti Raymond Y10Sc
