Brunei Darussalam yesterday recorded two COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the total number of covid-19-related deaths to 43. The cause of death of one case has yet to be identified.
“Case 8220, a 69-year-old woman, and Case 7091, a 44-year-old man, suffered from severe lung problems due to the COVID-19 infection and were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, National Isolation Centre. Meanwhile, Case 9263 was a six-year-old girl, and her cause of death is still under investigation,” said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference.
“By the will of Allah the Almighty and with a heavy heart, the Ministry of Health (MoH) is informing the public that three COVID-19 confirmed cases have returned to the grace and mercy of Allah the Almighty,” said the minister.
To protect and respect the privacy and confidentiality of the cases’ families, the minister said, “The MoH will not share the cases’ personal details. The public is requested to respect and not disseminate information relating to the cases. On behalf of the MoH and the people, I wish to convey our deepest condolences to the families. May their souls receive blessings from Allah the Almighty, and may they be placed among the pious.”
