Three-metre-long croc caught outside Kuching playground

ANN/THE STAR – The Fire and Rescue Department has captured a crocodile from a drain at a playground in Kuching, Malaysia.

The department received a call about the crocodile sighting at 10.16am yesterday.

Eight firemen from the Petra Jaya fire station found the reptile in the drain when they arrived at the scene.

“The team used a rope to tie the crocodile’s mouth to avert any risk of danger before removing it from the drain,” a spokesman from the department said.

The crocodile was then handed over to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC).

According to SFC, the male crocodile measured about three metres long.
