THREE Brunei fighters won their title bouts at the Strike: Redemption event organised by Strike Brunei at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre last night with eight pro fight title bouts contested.
Brunei’s Wali Rahman from Silverback Muay Thai won the Strike 73kg K-1 Title Belt after defeating Malaysia’s Kenny Jafli from Team Karabaw.
Wali knocked out (TKO) his opponents 50 seconds into the second round.
Brunei’s Aaron Lim from Project Mayhem won the Strike 60kg K-1 Title Belt, defeating Malaysia’s Aziz ‘The Shantung Zhai’ Gwojie from Kinabalu Fighters Martial Arts and Fitness.
Brunei’s Saufy Jaman from Nak Muay Fight Gym won the Strike 62kg MMA Contest Trophy after defeating Malaysia’s Dean Hamsah of Team Karabaw/Cruz Fight Gym.
Saufy knocked out (TKO) his opponent after one minute and 39 seconds in the first round.
Malaysia’s Alexis ‘Pretty Boy’ Akang from Team Karabaw won the Strike 60kg K-1 Intercontinental Belt after defeating Myanmar’s O Kay Gyi from Chain Block Muay Thai.
Fadzli Julai of Warmonger Fight Training Academy won the Strike 56kg K-1 Title Belt after beating Rayyan ‘The Black Mamba’ Rizqin of Kinabalu Fighters Martial Arts and Fitness. The Philippine’s Jeff ‘Skull Crusher’ Andrew Palma from Sabah Top Team won the Strike 70kg MMA Contest after he beat Indonesia’s Rahman Husin from Volkz Lutador Academy.
Malaysia’s Nidal ‘King Joker’ Mahmoud from Jordan Fight Team won the Strike 70kg K-1 Intercontinental Trophy after defeating Indonesia’s Edho Nowie from Volkz Lutador Academy.
Malaysia’s Sunny ‘The Silencer’ Sabornido from Borneo Combat Gym won the Borneo ISKA 57kg K-1 Title Belt after defeating Indonesia’s Arie Ananda Putra from Volkz Lutador Academy. It was a unique fight as both fighters are deaf.
Strike: Redemption will continue today with boxing events at the same venue.
