Brunei Darussalam recorded three deaths of COVID-confirmed cases yesterday, with only one categorised as COVID-related.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar announced this during a press conference yesterday, adding that the national death toll has risen to 50.

“By the will of Allah the Almighty and with a heavy heart, the Ministry of Health (MoH) would like to inform the public that three COVID-19 confirmed cases have returned to the grace of Allah the Almighty,” the minister said.

He said a 68-year-old man’s death was confirmed as due to COVID-19, while a 67-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman suffered from other health problems and are not categorised as death due to COVID-19.

“Representing the MoH as well as the people of Brunei Darussalam, we express our deepest condolences to the cases’ families and pray their souls will receive blessings and are placed among the pious.”
