Theft of tyres, rims lands man behind bars

A 34-year-old local man who stole car accessories from a workshop in Anggerek Desa Industrial Area was detained by the Royal Brunei Police Force’s (RBPF’s) personnel of the Berakas Police Station recently.

The suspect, Endy Sumardi bin Ibrahim was apprehended and produced before the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday for prosecution under Section 379 of Penal Code Chapter 22 was charged after he admitted that he had stolen five tyres and car rims.

The Bandar Magistrate’s Court imposed a month jail sentence commencing on April 20.

RBPF advised the public to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or through the hotline 993.
