I would like to applaud the authorities for their ability to recognise the flaw in their statistics and make the necessary revision when it comes to the vaccination rate.
While it is only the first dose, we are at least one step closer to things returning to normal. Once these people have been fully vaccinated, I hope to see economic activities pick up again.
Since the second wave of COVID-19, a handful of businesses have been struggling to make ends meet. It would be good to finally put the worst behind us and focus our energy on recovery.
As a citizen, I am proud of the authorities for getting so many people inoculated in such a short span of time; most notably, bringing the vaccination drive to rural areas and extending operating hours at vaccination centres.
