Thailand death toll reaches new one-day high

BANGKOK (BERNAMA) – Thailand reported a new daily high of COVID-19 fatalities yesterday when it recorded 51 deaths over the last 24 hours, with the total deaths in the kingdom now at 1,744.

Thailand also recorded 3,174 new COVID-19 cases over the period bringing the total infections in the kingdom to 228,538 to date.

Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) spokesman Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin said the new fatalities involved 26 men and 25 women aged between 29 and 31, including one Myanmar national

He said a total of 34 fatalities were reported in Bangkok, three each Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan, two each in Chon Buri and Nakhon Pathom and one each in Nonthaburi, Ratchaburi, Yala, Prachin Buri, Songkhla, Sa Kaeo and Saraburi.
