The Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam will organise a blood donation drive for the Thai community in Brunei Darussalam and ‘Friends of Thailand’ at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre from 8.30am to 11.30am and 1.30pm to 3.30pm on November 30.

The blood donation drive is held in conjunction with the celebration of the birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand and Thailand’s Father’s Day celebration on December 5.

It is also organised to support the Blood Donation Centre to ensure sufficient blood supply for emergency situations.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Wanthanee Viputwongsakul will be present to officiate the drive and present Thai food as a token of appreciation to the Blood Donation Centre officials for their commitment.

She will also visit the donors to offer them with moral support and present Thai delicacies.

Around 60 Thais, ‘Friends of Thailand’, officials and staff from the Royal Thai Embassy have registered with the embassy for the drive.

This will be the third time the embassy hosts a blood donation drive following an encouraging response from the Thai community in the sessions held on May 28 this year and on November 13 last year.
