Temburong’s ecotourism experience for youth leaders

Singapore-Brunei Youth Leadership Exchange Programme (SBYLEP) participants visited the Temburong District to experience ecotourism activities yesterday.

Legislative Council member and Penghulu of Mukim Bokok Yang Berhormat Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu welcomed the delegation.

Acting Temburong District Officer Mohamad Khairul Shahrul bin Haji Duahim briefed the delegation.

The group visited the Outward Bound Brunei Darussalam in Batang Duri and Ulu Temburong National Park.

They were also briefed on the ‘Heart of Borneo’ by Supervisor of Freme Travel Sdn Bhd Tom Chong.

The delegation participated in activities including canopy walk, kayaking, flying fox and rock-climbing.

They also visited the National Service Programme (PKBN) and were briefed by Deputy Commandant of the PKBN Training Camp Major (Rtd) Haji Ahmad Fairuz bin Haji Zainal about the facilities available.

The group returned to Bandar Seri Begawan and visited the Malam Minggu Pusat Belia (MMPB) at the Youth Centre.
