Tedarus, Khatam Al-Quran held across nation

Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) held its annual Khatam Al-Quran ceremony followed by a presentation of donations to orphans and the needy at KIGS Business and Marketing Communications Centre (BMCC), Kiulap.

Over 50 participants comprising staff and students participated in the ceremony held in conjunction with Ramadhan. KIGS lecturer Nordin bin Ajmain led the recitation.

The event proceeded with the presentation of donations to 29 individuals. The college’s former CEO Pengiran (Dr) Hajah Fatimah binti Pengiran Setia Jaya Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin and KIGS Board of Directors member Pengiran Haji Mohd Yamin bin Pengiran Setia Jaya Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin presented the donations.

PERTIWI Association

One hundred and eight members, under the Brunei Darussalam PERTIWI Association and the Council of Women of Brunei Darussalam, held a Khatam Al-Quran.

PERTIWI Chairperson Datin Paduka Hajah Jusnani binti Haji Lawie led the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah,followed with the recitation of the verses of Al-Quran from Surah Adh-Dhuhaa to Surah Al-Masad by attendees.

The religious activity is part of the association’s annual calendar in glorifying the month of Ramadhan.

Mentiri Primary School

Mentiri Primary School held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony to conclude the recitation of Al-Quran by teachers, support staff and members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG). Six orphans from the school were also presented donations in the form of cash and food hampers.

Headmistress Sarimah binti Haji Lusin and PIBG Chairperson Miramid bin Suhaili handed over the donations.
