The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) organised a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan at Kampong Selangan Mosque, Temburong District on Thursday.
The ceremony was organised by the MCYS in collaboration with the Takmir Committee of Kampong Selangan Mosque.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin led the delegation.
The event began with mass recitation of Surah Al Fatihah followed by the reading of verses of Al-Quran Juzuk 19.
It continued with reading of Doa against COVID-19 and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Brunei Darussalam.
The ceremony also saw the presentation of donations to orphans and waqaf to the mosque, and concluded with mass Asar prayer.
Permanent Secretary (Administration, Finance and Estate) at the MCYS Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary (Strategy and Policy Management) at the MCYS and the congregation of Kampong Selangan Mosque were also present.
