Teachers to present at ASEAN convention

A 17-member delegation from the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) travelled to Indonesia on Wednesday to participate in the 36th ASEAN Council of Teachers plus One (ACT+1) Convention held from today until September 4 at Marcure Hotel Convention Centre in Ancol, Jakarta.

Themed “Recovering from the Pandemic: Designing Post Pandemic Education in Digitally Infused World”, the convention hosted by Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia (PGRI) will focus on the impacts of and the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The convention provides a forum for more than 200 participants from the ACT+1 member countries, namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Korea.

The forum will feature presentation of keynote papers and country reports from participating member countries.

PGGMB’s country report will be presented by the Rimba II Secondary School Principal Hajah Siti Khadijah binti Haji Damit while Headmistress of Pengiran Kesuma Negara Bukit Beruang Primary School Hajah Kostinah binti Haji Garif will present a paper at the parallel session.
