Teachers, students learn about fire safety

A total of 115 teachers and students from Pengiran Anak Puteri Masna Religious School attended a fire safety and building evacuation briefing by the Public Relations Division under Operation ‘A’ Branch of the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) recently.

The briefing was aimed at raising awareness on the dangers of fire, and foster a sense of responsibility on the aspects of fire safety. Fire and building evacuation drills are conducted at the school at least twice a year to ensure public safety, allowing FRD to confirm the efficiency of systematic procedures as well as to strengthen cooperation and relations between the FRD and the school.

The FRD offers safety programmes, including Life Saver 995 and fire marshal courses, to instil knowledge on workplace safety and guidelines on the proper use of a fire extinguisher.
