Teachers learn about employability

Economics subject teachers yesterday paid a working visit to JobCentre Brunei to gain insight  into employability.

The delegation comprising public school teachers and a senior education officer from the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education was briefed on JobCentre Brunei services and an overview on the Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC).

With the information, teachers will be able to use local examples when delivering topics such as the labour market, unemployment and government policy.

The visit is one of Subject Based Committee (SBC) Economics’s professional development activities outlined in its action plan for 2021 and was organised by Rimba Secondary School, Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College and Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School.
