A group of 11 teachers from eight government secondary schools conducted an educational visit to Guerrilla Architects Studio at Melabau Complex, Serusop.
The BTEC Art and Design teachers from Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School, Sayyidina Husain Secondary School, Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School, Menglait Secondary School, Rimba Secondary School, Awang Semaun Secondary School, Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Secondary School and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School were exposed to graffiti art techniques, a new form of visual art that can be used at school.
The group was welcomed by Mohd Zaim bin Haji Mohd Norzairi, who also delivered a briefing followed by a question-and-answer session and a ‘Doddle Grid’ workshop.
The visit was led by Secretary of the Host School for BTEC Art and Design Fatimah binti Md Jaafar from Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School.
The visit was an initiative from the Professional Development Hub SBC BTEC Art and Design of Sayyidina Husain Secondary School aimed to understand the aesthetic values of graffiti art, mastering the knowledge and experience as well as to appreciate the work of artists.
