Teachers, officers and employees under the Ministry of Education (MoE) received medals of honour for the year 2018-2020 in a ceremony at BRIDEX Hall in Jerudong yesterday, in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s birthday celebration.
Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman presented the medals.Also present was Deputy Minister of Education Datin Seri Paduka Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh. A total of 330 recipients received the Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (PIKB) and 320 received the Pingat Kerja Lama (PKL).
The medals were awarded in recognition of services and contributions made by the recipients, and aimed at motivating ministry staff and officers to improve work performance while striving for excellence.
