Teachers attend talk on occupational health and safety

SOME 131 staff and teachers of Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Secondary School in Serasa yesterday attended an occupational health and safety talk aimed at inculcating awareness on workplace safety amongst the school’s workforce.

The talk was conducted by Special Duties Officer Grade II at the Health, Safety, Security and Environment Unit of the Ministry of Education (MoE) Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohammad, who highlighted the specific duties that support health and safety in the workplace and the collective responsibility of promoting health and safety in the workplace and reporting any potential hazards.

The school hoped the talk will instil a safer working culture among its staff.
