The Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque Takmir Committee in collaboration with the Mosque Affairs Department, held a Tazkirah Nationwide Competition for the Mosque Youth Group in Kampong Serusop yesterday.
The competition was held in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s 39th National Day.
Fourteen youth participated in the competition, divided into two categories – Mosque Youth and Mosque Beliawanis.
The champion in the male category was Mohammad Hazwan Nizam bin Ibrahim with 86 points, while Muhammad Faris Mu’izzuddin bin Abdullah @ Roslan was the first runner-up with 79 points followed by Abdul Aziz bin Noor in third place with 71 points.
In the women’s category, Siti Amal Zakiah binti Haji Md Yusof was the winner with 77 points.
Meanwhile, Nurul Afiqah binti Lamit was the first runner-up with 75 points and Nur ‘Afifah binti Junaidi in third place with 75 points.
Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri presented prizes.
