The Employee Trust Fund (TAP) through the Retirement Services Unit continued its ‘10 Years Toward Retirement’ programme for TAP members at the Theatre Hall of the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) building yesterday aimed to raise awareness on the importance of financial planning and providing access to help individuals properly organise their financial planning.
The programme participants comprised TAP members retiring in 10 to 15 years. The participants in the first session comprised officers and staff of the MoFE, the Ministry of Defence and the Prime Minister’s Office.
The talks included retirement planning by TAP and by the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) on avoiding financial scams. Exhibitions were held by BDCB, Brunei Insurance and Takaful Association (BITA) as well as the Brunei Association of Banks (BAB), who provided financial health check services for the participants and showcased products that can help TAP members to make their retirement plans. – James Kon
