Employees Trust Fund (TAP) held a roadshow at the Theatre Hall of the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
It is part of TAP’s initiatives to raise awareness of retirement planning.
TAP also highlighted voluntary contribution as a way to increase retirement savings by contributing more than the mandatory among to TAP and Supplemental Contributory Pensions (SCP) accounts.
A financial planning session facilitated by financial planner from Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) was also held.
Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam’s (AMBD) Credit Bureau Unit and Financial Consumer Issue Unit also participated in the roadshow. They provided information on detecting and avoiding financial scams such as get-rich-quick-scheme.
TAP also held a retirement planning programme at Di-Gadong Hall, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports from March 17-18.
The programme included financial planning, estate management (Faraidh/Hibah/Wasiat) and avoiding financial scams.
Speakers were from AMBD, Syariah Affairs Department, Health Promotion Centre, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and Insurans Islam TAIB.
