Talk raises awareness on mental health

The Welfare Body of Police’s Wives and Families (PEKERTI) of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a mental health talk at the Police Training Centre of the RBPF headquarters in Gadong recently.

The talk ‘Mental Health Awareness’ was delivered by MCouns Counselling – Interpersonal Dialogue Noresamsiah binti Haji Mohd Hussin.

The talk aimed at raising awareness and understanding on mental health issues among the community and to prioritise individual’s mental health by seeking help if needed. It also served to provide information on the condition of individual’s mental health, symptoms and its impact on individuals and communities; and to address and challenging myths and misconceptions about mental health to create a more accepting and understanding environment. PEKERTI chairperson Datin Sabrina Aziemah binti Abdullah Chong was the guest of honour.
