The Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (MYCE) 2021 continued its series of events yesterday, seeing Dynamik Technologies Sdn Bhd collaborating with Consensys, the world’s largest Ethereum engineering company, to host the Blockchain Industry Dialogue.
Blockchain is one of the emerging technology pillars of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) that has the potential to transform fintech and business models, protect data security and provide transparency, as well as improve supply chain traceability.
The dialogue mooted a way forward on formalising the blockchain community for local development and regional representation.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education (MoE) Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) at the MTIC Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Chin Wei Keh, Dynamik Technologies Chief Executive Officer Haslina bin Haji Mohd Taib also attended. Other guests included chief information officers, chief technology officers, senior officers and executives from the public and private sectors.
The event featured a dialogue with ConsenSys, a brainstorming session to identify potential use cases in customer and asset identity management, supply chain traceability, service and security transformation and FinTech, NFT and asset tokenisation; and ways forward on potential representations of Brunei Darussalam in ASEAN-level blockchain collaborations.
