The Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Library in Kampong Pandan hosted an archery roadshow in collaboration with Ar-Rafi Archery Brunei yesterday.
Ar-Rafi Archery Brunei Chairman Pengiran Haji Radno bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Tahir said the roadshow was held to introduce archery among the local community.
“I hope the roadshow will inspire people to take on archery, while also instilling the safety-mindedness necessary to ensure that the sport can be safely played in a controlled environment,” he said.
The roadshow also provided an opportunity for the archery group to scout for potential talents.
Some activities included fun shoot and target shooting where visitors tried their hand at drawing the bow to hit targets.
The archery group also presented a talk and history storytelling on archery.
Booths and stalls were set up by local entrepreneurs and businesses.
