Take precautionary measures during flooding: MoH

With the country experiencing floods following heavy rain, the Ministry of Health (MoH) urged the public, especially those residing in flood-prone areas to take precautionary measures to prevent accidents, injuries, food- and water-borne diseases such as cholera, diarrhoea, food poisoning, and vector-borne diseases, including dengue.

The public is advised to ensure the water used for daily needs is clean and not contaminated; drink boiled or bottled water; cook food thoroughly; and prioritise personal hygiene like washing hands with clean water and soap after toilet use.
