Tahlil at Royal Mausoleum

ONE of the programmes included during the Ta’aruf (Orientation week) of Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) was the recitation of 30 Juzuks of Al-Quran and Tahlil. Yesterday, the new intake conducted a recitation of Doa and Tahlil at the Royal Mausoleum for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

All male students including officers and teachers attended the ceremony led by Acting Principal of ITQSHHB, Pengiran Haji Amiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Damit.

The ceremony started with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Pengiran Haji Amiruddin followed by the recitation of 30 Juzuks of Al-Quran and Tahlil led by Ali Sabri bin Haji Yusof, one of the teachers at the institute.

The ceremony was part of the programmes underlined during the orientation week for the new intake (secondary) session 1440H/2019. The orientation also aimed to serve as a platform for students to always be close to Al-Quran while at the same time foster closer ties and cooperation among themselves.

ITQSHHB will officially accept 60 new intake (secondary) today of which 21 are male students while 39 are female and will commence its academic session on January 14.
