Table-top exercise tests readiness, security

Pulau Muara Besar (PMB) Security Working Group conducted a table-top exercise (TTX) on Tuesday, to test the readiness of security and enforcement agencies’ as well as stakeholders in dealing with possible security threats in PMB.

Permanent Secretary (Security and Law) at the Prime Minister’s Office Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib as the Chairwoman of the PMB Security Working Committee officiated the TTX.

Eight government and private agencies participated in the TTX at PMB Combined Security Operations Center (CSOC) – the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Immigration and National Registration Department, Narcotics Control Bureau, Darussalam Enterprise and Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd.

Among the objectives of the TTX were to increase cooperation between agencies and stakeholders, improve the effectiveness of authorities’ actions in dealing with security threats to PMB and as a platform for agencies and stakeholders at all levels especially on their roles and responses according to their respective jurisdictions.

Prior to the TTX, a workshop was held on September 29 and officiated by Senior Superintendent of Police Matusin bin Haji Jumat, Acting Director of Operations of the RBPF as the Chairman for PMB Security Working Group.
