Suspected pimp, two others picked up in home bust

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) yesterday detained a male believed to be a pimp and two females for alleged involvement in offering sexual services.

The three foreigners were picked up when personnel from the Anti-Vice and Gambling Suppression Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) raided a home in Kampong Salambigar.

The male suspect was a 39-year-old Bangladeshi, while the two others were a 35-year-old Thai and 38-year-old Indonesian. The suspects, as well as condoms and cash found in the room, were taken to the CID for further investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 294A, Chapter 22 of the Penal Code (the offence of offering sexual services) and under Chapter 120 of the Women and Girls Protection Act.
