The Women’s Section of the Foochow Association Kuala Belait marked International Women’s Day with a fun-filled celebration at their main building in Kuala Belait recently.
Organising chairperson Hwong Li Tung, in her speech, said the celebration aimed to provide opportunities for women to spend the Sunday out with friends.
She also highlighted the important role women play as mothers and daughters in strengthening family ties, which positively impact the community and society.
The event also featured a cake-cutting ceremony as well as activities such as zumba, dance and a lucky draw. – Daniel Lim
