Sultanate records one new COVID-19 fatality

Brunei Darussalam registered one COVID-19 fatality yesterday. Meanwhile, there are no cases in Category 5 requiring treatment at the intensive care unit, while three cases are in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.

The latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country were shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily report.

Some 10.3 per cent of the population have received the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 78.3 per cent have received three shots of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, the coverage rate for children aged five to 11 with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine is 84.8 per cent, while 61.3 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.

Additionally, 281 cases recovered yesterday bringing the total number of recoveries to 223,078.
