Sultanate continues to see zero cases in Category 5

The Sultanate yesterday continued to record zero COVID-19 cases in Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit, while only two cases are in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.

The country also continued its streak of no fatalities due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in the Sultanate was shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily report.

There were 408 declared recoveries yesterday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 216,385.

The inoculation statistics for children aged five to 11 with two doses of COVID-19 vaccine is at 82.3 per cent, while 55.7 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.

The coverage rate of the population with three shots of the COVID-19 vaccine remained at 76.4 per cent, while 8.8 per cent of the populace has received the fourth dose.
