HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to tour several areas at Bolkiah Garrison during the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ (RBAF) 58th anniversary celebration yesterday.
One of the locations His Majesty visited was the picturesque new RBAF recruitment office, which has panels to create a façade that displays the colour scheme of Brunei’s military.
The display captures the attention of anyone entering the building as they pass through the main entrance, with Brunei’s soldiers represented and reflected in the building’s rectangular structure.
The building’s appealing exterior, using colour to good effect and to distinguish itself from the surrounding environment, has been designed to attract the youth and the general public.
Its design consists of structures that skew light in a variety of ways, creating shadows that make for an interesting experience when walking through certain locations such as the stairs, and rendering the building more architecturally beautiful overall look.
