A weekly programme to contemplate Al-Quran for the holy month of Ramadhan began on Monday.
The Tadabbur Al-Quran 7.0 programme, organised by the Da’ie Youth Volunteering Body and the Islamic Da’wah Centre’s (PDI) Youth Religious Programme Secretariat, will be held every Monday until April 8.
The programme is expected to enliven Ramadhan with the study of Al-Quran and ponder the meanings contained within. The programme also seeks to foster the love of Al-Quran among the public through the thematic sharing of verses.
The programme last Monday featured a religious lecture, ‘Return to Allah the Almighty’, by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) lecturer Dr Cecep Soleh Kurniawan.
It was followed by a special sharing segment ‘Love Al-Quran’ presented by a Muslim convert, Huda binti Muhammad Ashraf @ Viviyannie binti Asut. She shared the impact of Al-Quran in her life and the acceptance of Islam as her way of life.
Participants of the programme included government officials, retirees, youth, students and the public. – Azlan Othman
