Several secondary school students from across the country visited Brunei LNG Plant in Lumut as part of the company’s BLNGolden Hearts initiative.
The students were from Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College, Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Jefri Bolkiah Campus, Jerudong International School, Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Secondary School, Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar Secondary School, Meragang Sixth Form Centre, School of Science and Engineering of Politeknik Brunei, Katok Secondary School, Perdana Wazir Secondary School, Sayyidina Ali Secondary School, Seri Mulia Sarjana School; IBTE Nakhoda Ragam Campus and IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus.
The BLNGolden Hearts initiative, which began early this year, aims to encourage staff to show their care and appreciation towards the community through altruistic activities as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.
Brunei LNG Acting Managing Director and CEO Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Awang Bakar welcomed the students. This was followed by presentations about the company.
The students later toured the plant before taking part in a breakout session facilitated by staff from various departments.
The students also witnessed a liquid nitrogen demonstration conducted by a senior analyst from the Brunei LNG Laboratory.
