A TOTAL of 10 Year 9 and Year 10 students and a teacher from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Secondary School left for Singapore to participate in Y.LEAD Seminar yesterday.
The seminar, organised by River Valley High School, themed ‘[email protected]’ will equip youth with leadership skills to face the fast evolving and transforming world of tomorrow.
According to teacher Nur Amalina Rosli, they hope the seminar can help the students develop further leadership skills, and social networking with the others.
“Among the activities that will be carried out including group activities on leadership and teamwork, as well as 15-hour challenge to create a panel discussion and showcase culture and traditional food of Brunei,” she said.
Principal of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Secondary School Chong Li Chen was present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell.
The seminar aims to empower youth to become future leaders realising that the action of individuals and government, along with the development in the society as well as science and technology, will have an impact on how the future plays out.
