The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School feted students who learnt how to code through the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry’s (AITI)’s ‘Coding with Smart Devices for Schools’ programme which began in January.
During a ceremony yesterday, prizes and certificates were presented to the students by AITI Assistant Manager of Digital Capacity Outreach, Industry Development Tajul Ariffin bin Haji Ali Hassan.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah’s granddaughter Pengiran Anak Adriana Haziqah Jaida Bulqiah binti Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul ‘Ali Yil-Kabier was also a recipient.
YSHHB Primary School Headmistress Hajah Mariam binti Haji Ladi said the programme done in collaboration with AITI showed that young students were able to learn 21st Century skills.
The programme introduced computational thinking using smart devices for Year 1 to Year 6 students. The programme also highlighting the three Rs – Reinvent, Rethink and Recalculate.
